We’re pleased to confirm the signing of Alfie White, who joins Hednesford Town on a one-month youth loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Alfie is a highly rated defender within the Wolves system, having progressed through their Under-18s and Under-21s before signing his first professional contract at the start of the 2024/25 season. His move to Keys Park marks the next step in his development – gaining senior experience in a competitive environment.
This won’t be Alfie’s first appearance at Keys Park. Just a few weeks ago, he played here for Wolves U21s against West Ham and made a strong impression with supporters and staff alike.
Speaking after completing the move, Alfie said: “I was buzzing when the interest come in. I’m really happy to be playing in front of fans at a senior club where getting three points every week means everything. It’ll be a big step up and I’m looking forward to the challenge – I can’t wait to get going.
“I played at Keys Park recently with Wolves U21s against West Ham and really enjoyed it. The setup is lovely, the pitch is great to play on and the changing rooms feel so professional.
“I want to show my work rate and desire to win. Thank you to everyone at Wolves for the support, and for helping sort this move so quickly.”
Manager Gavin Hurren added: “Alfie is thought very highly of at Wolves. When he played here a few weeks ago in the U21s fixture, he was a standout and caught everybody’s eye. He’s athletic, composed and can play in several positions across defence and midfield.
“For his development, it’s really important that he gets around a first-team environment where the result matters. Bringing him in for a month gives him that platform and also helps us as a football club.
“We’re building a good relationship with Wolves and I’d like to thank Matt Jackson and everyone there for their help in getting this loan done. It’s great to be moving in the right direction and supporting the next generation of young professionals.”
