Hednesford Town Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Liam Kinsella, in what is one of the most significant signings in the club’s history.
The 29-year-old central midfielder joins the Pitmen this week, bringing with him a wealth of Football League experience and a pedigree that underlines the ambition of what we are building at Keys Park. A local lad from Aldridge, Liam’s arrival is a major statement of intent as the club continues to push forward on and off the pitch.
Liam came through the youth system at Walsall before making his senior debut there, going on to enjoy an impressive career in the EFL with spells at Swindon Town and most recently Cheltenham Town. With extensive experience across League One and League Two, he now brings that quality, leadership and know-how to Hednesford Town at a key moment in the club’s journey.

Speaking after completing the move, Liam said: “This is a club that’s clearly on the up and I really wanted to be part of it. I’m excited to be here and to get started.
“I want to work as hard as I possibly can and help take this club as far as we can. Promotion is the short-term goal, but longer term we want to keep pushing and see how far we can go. I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”
