THE HOME SIDE
Saturday’s 2-0 win over Stocksbridge Park Steels kept Hednesford in fourth place in the table with 27 points from 15 games from eight wins, three draws and four defeats. League leaders Warrington Rylands were the only other winners in the league’s top eight sides. Midfielder Max Sheaf sits out the second game of his three match suspension while Matthew Barnes-Homer has had his loan to Shifnal Town extended to the end of the season. Striker Zidan Sutherland’s loan has been switched from Stafford Rangers to Stourbridge, again for the remainder of the season while Ollie Wilson has left the club to seek more regular game time elsewhere. Nathan Blissett is still out with an injury while Elliott Johnson and Jacob Gwilt have both returned to training.
THE OPPOSITION
Hyde United are in 12th place in the league table with 21 points from 15 games. Eight of those points have been picked up on the road from two wins, two draws and four defeats. The victories came 1-0 at Prescot Cables and 2-0 at Rushall Olympic with a 2-2 draw at Stockton and a 3-3 draw at Hebburn. The defeats were at Cleethorpes (1-3), Ilkeston (0-3), Warrington Rylands (2-4) and on Saturday at Workington when they went down 2-3 after having goalkeeper Yusuf Mersin sent off after an hour. The Tigers’ leading scorer is Jack Redshaw with nine goals in all competitions while Nyal Bell and on loan Lewis Rawsthorn each have four league goals. Caretaker boss Martin Coyne was announced as permanent manager on 2nd October, assisted by Harry Bunn and Chris Shaw after being in interim charge since the resignation of Nick Spooner on 7th September with five players leaving the club since his appointment.
THE MANAGEMENT
Assistant manager Lee Vaughan described Saturday’s game as an “efficient second half performance”, adding that “the Hyde game will be a difficult game, they’re good footballers and a good side but it’ll be about us and how we play”.

PREVIOUS ENCOUNTERS
Hyde’s last three visits to Keys Park have not been happy ones. In 2008/09 they went out of the FA Trophy in a Third Qualifying Round Replay, Hednesford winning 5-0 while in 2014/15 they lost 1-4 in a Vanarama Conference North fixture which is featured in the matchday programme. Their last game here saw another Hednesford win, 1-0 in the Northern Premier League.
MATCHDAY DETAILS
Admission on Tuesday is £13 adults, £10 concessions, 17-18, and disabled (non-wheelchair access), £5 U16 and free for U10s but all U16s must be accompanied by a paying adult. Supporters are advised to use the Fanbase app to purchase tickets although cash or card payments can be made at the ticket office before kick-off.
Once again additional car parking is available at the Sunflex/Dunelm site for £5 with all proceeds going to Age UK. There are 70 spaces on a first come first served basis. Wheelchair users can enjoy the game from the designated areas in the stands and can enter the stadium through the gate next to the ticket office.
