Shrewsbury Town Women 3 – 0 Hednesford Town Ladies

A tough afternoon for us as we fell to a 3–0 defeat away at Shrewsbury.

We struggled to really get a foothold in the game from the outset. Full credit to Shrewsbury – they are an excellent, professional set-up with some very good players. They all know their roles and execute them well, which made it difficult for us to build any real rhythm.

Hednesford Town Ladies 2 – 0 Rugby Town Women

We are really pleased with the performance and the result from Sunday. To come away with a 2-0 win at home in a League Cup quarter-final is exactly what we set out to do, and I thought the players delivered that really well.

Leek Town Women 0 – 2 Hednesford Town Ladies

A really positive result for us Sunday, coming away from Leek Town with a 2–0 win after what was quite a long journey on the road. The girls handled everything that came with it really well and put in a strong performance overall.

Hednesford Town Ladies v Lye Town Women

It was a frustrating day at the office for us, and one where our performance didn’t quite reach the standards we’ve set over the past few weeks or reflect the results we’ve been picking up. We struggled to get to grips with Lye Town physically, and ultimately that proved to be our downfall. Both goals came from crosses into the box where we didn’t defend our areas well enough and lost key aerial duels.

Solihull Moors Ladies 0-2 Hednesford Town Ladies

We knew it would be a tough game away from home against a very good, established side. Solihull came into the match third in the league and unbeaten in their last five, so we were under no illusions about the challenge ahead. Earlier in the season we earned a draw at home after going 2–0 down, which showed us what we were capable of, but we also knew we would have to be at our very best.

Hednesford Town Ladies 2-0 Burton Albion Women

It was great to be back at home for the second week in a row, and to have 110 supporters down at Keys Park backing the girls was absolutely fantastic. The support really does make a difference, and the players responded in the best possible way with a really pleasing performance.

Burton Albion Ladies v Hednesford Town Ladies

Ladies playing football

Our ladies had to settle for a point on the road after a hard-fought 1–1 draw away at Burton Albion, in what was always going to be a difficult return to action following a break over the Christmas period.

Hednesford Town v Shifnal Town

Female players battling for ball

Despite a narrow 3–2 defeat to Shifnal Town, we delivered an absolutely outstanding performance that deserved far more.

Hednesford Town v Coventry Sphinx

Female player hitting the ball

Hednesford Town Ladies returned to Keys Park with determination and a point to prove, facing a side who had snatched a comeback victory against us earlier in the season. That frustration fuelled the squad throughout the week, and with the fantastic Keys Park behind us, the team were intent on putting things right.

Manager’s Reflections After 2–0 Defeat to Khalsa (FA Cup Second Round Proper)

It’s a tough one to take. For 83 minutes the girls were outstanding. They performed admirably, worked really, really hard, gave everything we’ve asked of them, and implemented the game plan exactly as we set out. We were disciplined, organised, and fully deserving of being right in the match at that stage. Unfortunately, the referee’s […]

Hednesford Town Ladies 2–0 Alvechurch Women

After what had been a mixed start to our league campaign, Sunday’s 2–0 win was an incredibly important one for the group. We’ve been performing well recently, going on a strong unbeaten run and enjoying an excellent FA Cup run, so the message before the game was clear: carry that momentum into the league and […]

AFC Telford Women v Hednesford Town Ladies

Hednesford Town Ladies picked up another strong result on the road with a 3–1 win away at a well-organised Telford side. The hosts, who have been performing well in their league this season and ran us close last year, proved tough opposition once again. We started brightly and looked dangerous going forward, with Remaya Osbourne […]

Lye Town Women v Hednesford Town Ladies

What a game that was. Coming away from Lye Town with a point is really, really pleasing, especially given the conditions and the quality of the opposition. Lye are one of the strongest sides in the league and with the pitch being as heavy as it was, it made for a real battle. But credit […]

Hednesford Town Ladies v SJR Worksop Women

History was made this weekend as Hednesford Town Ladies reached the Second Round Proper of the Women’s FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history — a truly special moment for everyone involved. From start to finish, the performance was outstanding, and the possession stats back that up. The girls executed our game […]

Redditch Borough v Hednesford Town

It was a frustrating afternoon on the road for Hednesford Town Ladies, who fell to a narrow 1–0 defeat after a tough, physical battle away from home. The stats from the game show just how tight and evenly matched it was, but ultimately an easy ball over the top caught us out and they showed […]

Hereford v Hednesford Town

What a fantastic afternoon for the girls as we booked our place in the First Round Proper of the FA Cup with a 3–0 win away at Hereford. First and foremost, I’d like to extend our thanks to Hereford for their warm hospitality. It was a privilege to play at such a prestigious, historic ground, […]

Hednesford Town 0-1 Shrewsbury Town

Sunday saw us fall to a narrow 1–0 defeat at home against a very well-established Shrewsbury Town side, who are pushing hard for the title this season. I can’t hide my disappointment for the girls, because the result didn’t truly reflect the shift they put in from the first to the last whistle. We were […]

Hednesford Town 7-1 Bromsgrove Sporting

What a performance from the girls on Sunday in our 7–1 victory over Bromsgrove Sporting at Keys Park. After what’s been a mixed start to the season, it was fantastic to see everything we’ve been working on in training really come to life on the pitch. We got off to a solid start and were […]
