THE HOME SIDE
Hyde currently sit in 18th place in the NPL Premier table with 29 points from 28 games. They are just a point above Morpeth in the final relegation spot but have played a game more. Of those 29 points 17 have been picked up at home from four wins, five draws and five defeats to Guiseley, Leek Town, Warrington Town, Hebburn, and Rushall Olympic, scoring 21 goals and conceding 23. Their leading scorers are captain Jack Redshaw with ten goals in all competitions (seven in the league) and he is followed by Lewis Rawsthorn on eight although he has now moved on to Bury FC while Antoine Makoli has six goals. Recent signing from Warrington Town Edy Maieco has scored four goals in seven games since re-joining the club. Former Macclesfield and Atherton Collieries boss Michael Clegg was appointed Hyde manager on January 25th and has reshaped his squad, releasing Jordan Fagbola, Nyal Bell and Mo Malumo while Lewis Thompson has moved to New Zealand. Incoming are goalkeeper Yusuf Mersin who had been on loan at Runcorn Linnets, Scott Duxbury, Dontai Gabidon Bruno Cina and Damon Park who join on loan from Bury, Macclesfield, Stockport County and Radcliffe respectively and Tunde Owolabi on a permanent deal from Warrington Rylands.
THE PITMEN
Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against league leaders Hebburn denied Hednesford the opportunity to overtake The Hornets and they remained in second place in the table with 54 points from 29 games, just goal difference keeping them off the top spot. Away from home they have earned 22 points from 14 matches courtesy of six wins, four draws and four defeats, scoring 18 goals and conceding 12. Ahkeem Rose’s goal against Hebburn was his 11th in the league so far this season with a split of six scored at home and five away from Keys Park. The game saw the return of Dom McHale after suspension and injury while Jermaine Hylton made his first start since November. Kelvin Davis and Danny Butterfield were appointed as the new Managerial team on Wednesday until the end of the season following the departure of Gavin Hurren and Lee Vaughan. Kelvin has a UEFA Pro Licence and the pair had previously been in charge at National League side Eastleigh and will take charge of their first Hednesford game on Saturday.

New Manager Kelvin Davis said: “I’m really looking forward to getting started properly and taking the group into this Hyde game. The lads have been excellent in training with great energy and purpose. It’s about doing the simple things well, being clear in what we’re asking of each other and playing with real intensity. If we do that, the impact can be big and it gives us a great chance on the day.”

MATCHDAY DETAILS
The Project Solar Stadium (formerly known as Ewen Fields) has a capacity of 4,250 including 530 seats – in five covered stands, all of which are raised, offering excellent views and has been their home for over 100 years. The Main Stand houses the 530 seats, boardroom, Peter O’Brien Lounge and press box. The Shed End has a 13 step terrace while the Leigh Street Stand has an eight step terrace. The other two areas are the Walker Lane End and Tinkers Passage which has seven step terracing. There is parking available outside the ground and at nearby Hyde Leisure Pool. A residents only parking scheme operates in the vicinity of the ground so street parking has to be away from the stadium.
Admission will be £12 adults. £8 concessions, £6 U16s, £2 U12s, cash or card at the turnstiles. Transfer to the Main Stand costs another £1.
There will be an element of ‘soft’ segregation in the ground with a level of stewarding in place and Hednesford Town supporters will be guided to the Walker Lane (Leisure Pool end) exit at the end of the match.
Hednesford Town supporter coaches will park in the Leisure Centre so if you park there please be aware it might be busier, the car park will also be stewarded.
The social club will only be open to home supporters, away supporters will be advised to use the outside bar facility and the corner of Big Al’s as well as the toilets in that corner
The game will be covered by Hednesford Town Radio on Mixlr for any one who can’t make it.
