THE PITMEN
Hednesford remained in second place in the NPL Premier Division table following last weekend’s results as the top three in the Division all won, putting some space between themselves and the chasing pack. League leaders Hebburn beat fifth placed Gainsborough Trinity while The Pitmen won 3-1 at Bamber Bridge who are eighth. Third placed FC United won 3-2 at sixth placed Stockton after being two goals behind with an hour to play. In fourth place are Warrington Rylands who fell to an unexpected home defeat to Cleethorpes. Hebburn have 62 points from 33 games, Hednesford have 60 from 32 and FC United 59 from 32. Rylands are five points adrift having played 33 games while Gainsborough have 51 points but have only played 31 games. The weekend sees Hebburn travel to Warrington Town while FC United are at home to Bamber Bridge.
THE OPPOSITION
Guiseley are in 12th place in the NPL table with 40 points from 32 games, one of four teams on 40 points. 26 of those points have been picked up at home while they have gained just 14 on the road from four wins, two draws and nine defeats. The wins have come at Hyde (2-0), Workington (1-0), Stocksbridge Park Steels (3-1) and Morpeth (1-0) with a 1-1 draw at Whitby and a 0-0 draw at Lancaster. Defeats have been 0-1 at Ilkeston, Warrington Rylands and Hebburn, 0-2 at Prescot Cables, Warrington Town, Stockton, FC United and Bamber Bridge with their heaviest reversal coming by 0-4 at Leek. Their leading scorer is Jordan Thewlis who has 12 league goals.

MATCHDAY DETAILS
Kick off is at the usual Saturday time of 3pm with some of the turnstiles and ticket office open at 12pm for anyone who wants to watch the Coventry City v Southampton Championship game at 12.30pm in the Chase Suite. The rest of the turnstiles and club shop will open at 1pm. Don’t forget that there is a sale on this season’s shirts.
