Hednesford Town are delighted to announce the signing of David Abimbola from Bolton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old striker joins the Pitmen after being a scholar at Bolton, before signing a professional contract with the Championship outfit last summer.
David was first noticed by Bolton’s first team after a prolific 2024/25 campaign where he helped the youth team win the EFL Youth Alliance and Lancashire FA Youth Cup.
The powerful frontman was then given his chance in an injury-hit squad by boss Steven Schumacher and made four League One appearances, including a full debut at Lincoln City.
In the second half of last season, David was on loan at Accrington Stanley in League Two where he played 11 times.
After signing for the club, David said:
“I’m delighted to be here. I was invited down to the game on Saturday and after watching that game, I knew it was the right decision to come here.
“The goals that they want to reach are brilliant and I think it’s the right club for my development too.
