Hednesford Town Football Club is proud to share that an incredible £5,948.63 was raised for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity at our home game on 27th December.
As part of the club’s chosen charity support for the season, our owners pledged £1 for every supporter in attendance, before topping that figure up further to £5,000.
Supporters also played their part on the day, donating almost £1,000 through bucket collections around the stadium and the purchase of charity merchandise. Together, the generosity shown by the Pitmen family made for a truly special total.
Owners Craig and Amanda Gwilt said: “Midlands Air Ambulance is a charity that means a great deal to us and to so many people in our community. We’ve seen first-hand the difference they make, often in the most critical moments.
“Our pledge was about recognising the incredible support we receive at Keys Park and turning that into something positive for others. To see the club and supporters come together to raise nearly £6,000 is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
Katey Taylor, Staffordshire Fundraising Executive at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support the match on 27th December. Thanks to Hednesford Town FC’s generosity and the incredible community spirit on the day, the money raised will help fund our life-saving work and will make real difference to those in urgent need of critical care across Staffordshire.”

At the end of the season, we’ll be sharing the total amount raised by the Hednesford Town FC community across all charity activity.
Thank you once again to everyone who contributed and helped make this donation possible.
